I was very fortunate to have special access to a hill-top, eye-level, fairly close
spot to view the fireworks show last night... my wife thought it was too loud - like a typical boy, I thought it was great!
Wish I could include the booms... enjoy!

but the purple one is cool also - I don't recall that color from past shows.
It's amazing what they're doing with fireworks these days... there was an actual "smiley face" one!

Several of the bursts resembled flowers... as I mentioned above,
I'm amazed at the variations of design and color they now achieve in firework shows.
btw... San Diego has one of the largest shows in the West every year (Big Bay Boom) - staged in three locations around the bay.
A couple of years ago, something went wrong and ALL the shells were detonated at once... ALL of them! It was short, but amazing... I think it's on YouTube.
