Apologize for the delay gang...

Thanks to the folks that submitted this round - albeit, not many did.
Due to the low turnout, I gladly considered all entries , even the late one...
I think a little flexibility is in order this time... I hope this is ok with y'all.

This will be short and sweet, and then it's on to the next round.
So, most of the entries depict fun in the summertime - especially in/around water - definitely one of the most popular and best ways to spend a summer day - who doesn't like to cool-off! :thumb

This one is a fun retro "snapshot", like we all would have taken while on vacation back in the day.
The shy subject is a humorous element.

Charming portrait of kids - big and small - having a good time in the pool!

Third Place
CHANDLERJA - Cooling Off!

Great action shot - I swim in the ocean also, and this one makes me feel that cold rush you get when the waves hit you.

Second Place
kdotaylor - Taking it Easy

This scene certainly shows the "livin' is easy" part of summertime - very inviting - wish I was there!

First Place
jmphotocraft - beachin' it

Very fun shot and a great image also - great composition, exposure, and, of course, humor - I lol'ed... I love the sunglasses!

You've got the ball jmphotocraft... cheers!

Thanks Eric! I'm honored. Some very worthy competition in this fun topic. I'll check the rules and post a new challenge by the end of the day.

My shot was the best image to come out of my short-lived Canon S100, which one of my kids dropped before its first birthday. I'd say this image paid for the camera. It cracks me up and I think you get why. Thanks again.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
