Smugmug Statistics vs Statcounter

Can someone help reconcile the difference in views reported by Smugmug and Statcounter.
Smugmug always reports many, many more views than Statcounter for the same time period. :dunno

For example, for 12th July to 14th July:
Smugmug reports 25537 views
Statcounter reports 8741 views

Why is there such a difference and which one more accurately reflects the actual page views? :dunno

    Trying to compare SmugMug views and Statcounter views is like comparing apples to oranges. SmugMug tracks image views and Statcounter tracks page views.
