Shooting Telephoto Lenses for Maximum Sharpness

I received an email from Quigsby recently, asking for pointers about getting sharp images with the new Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD lens. I own one of these, and find it reasonably sharp. I suspect folks who have not previously used a 600mm lens, MAY, not fully appreciate the techniques required to shoot images…
