Replacing photos doesn't update Keywords

Replacing a photo with a new photo with updated keywords does not work as I expect.

I have a gallery of photos that have no keywords. I have edited the keywords on my PC and uploaded them again choosing "Replace Original Photos" when duplicates are found. However, although the picture was indeed replaced, the keywords were not replaced.

Let me say that again, I uploaded a duplicate photo with minor image changes as well as additional keywords. The photo was indeed replace as the image changes happened but the new keywords weren't applied.

Bug? By Design? If it's By Design, we need a way to actually fully replace images including all meta-data.

Ross, if you upload photos without keywords and then want to replace those photos with keyworded ones, you need to use our Lightroom plugin. Add keywords to photos in Lightroom, then republish. You don't need to make an actual change to photos. This will work for adding keywords, captions, titles and GPS info. Using the normal replace feature in the gallery will only replace the image, not the metadata.

If you don't use Lightroom and our plugin, the only other option is to upload photos with the keywords, rather than replace existing ones.
