New lens tryout

Got my new Sigma 150-500 yesterday and took it for a walk.

    Very nice overall. The first shot is a little soft. Not sure what camera you're using and if your lens has OS. You'll find that it takes a moment or two for the OS to really kick in in low light situations. If this is your early shots with this lens I think you're going to like it. Enjoy it!

    I really like the shot of the Kingbird but if it were mine and if you have the canvas to work with I would move the bird & fence post to the right of the frame so the bird it looking into the frame rather than out and also I would clone out that tiny little light colored dot to the left of the base of the birds tail. I might also try to cut back on the highlights a little and bring out the shadows just a touch. That's a killer shot I really like the background.

    Very nice Spinner. Hunter's suggestions with regard to the Kingbird are spot on. It would really make the shot special.
