Hi, just returned from a trip to the Gascoyne region about 1000k's north of Perth. Visited Mount Augustus NP. Cattle Pool is on the Lyons River which only flows after heavy rain in the catchment area, but this pool holds water all year. Quite a good area for bird watching, especially the native Budgerigar.

My wife took this shot with her Canon 'Super-Zoom'. This is a male Budgie - the female was in the nest hollow.

    Nice. For the Parakeet...I would put in the work and it is lot of work but clone out the background leaves and you have plenty of blue available. Cheers!
