Hi everyone - I'm new here and just getting settled into my smugmug home. I'm a flickr refugee looking for something more configurable. Looks like I've found it! Here's my favorite model, our daughter CJ.

    Dave,
    Welcome!

Nice pic, but I think it needs to be rotated.:D

Actually, it looks a little soft to me. I think you focused on the tip of the nose instead of the eyes.

    Keep on posting.

    Welcome!

I like the shot. Very cute and relaxed.

I also checked out your site and your blog. Both are very nice.

You'll find that I'm a major Machead, as well. I shoot Canon, though! How are you liking that D200? Your shots on your site are excellent, post some more!

    Welcome
Another Mac user here! And I have a CJ too, my grandson, Christopher James. He will be 5 next month.

I love your first year project in your gallery! We used video and stills to make a "CJ's first year" video tape for the great grandmas and others! We never managed to do the following years, but we have loads of photos, and my daughter keeps a "baby book."

Now that I have a memory stick pro, I'm taking more and more movies with my Sony camera so if and when we do digital albums we'll have plenty of imagery.

Thanks all - I appreciate the welcome and feedback! My D200 hasn't arrived yet. I keep waiting for B&H to notify me. In the meantime, I drool over the first-hand reviews over at nikonians.org. In the meantime, I still give my D70 a workout.

Good to see other Mac users here. I guess we're all waiting for the second Christmas to arrive Jan. 10 at the Macworld Keynote Address! In Korea it streams across the net at 2 am Jan. 11 - yes, I set my alarm and watch it every year! mwink.gif

Welcome to the forum. I see you've received your first "it's soft" comment on your photos. Only a photo forum would produce folks who see a cute kid pict and think "gee, they eye's aren't prefectly sharp" :)

[to that poster, it's all good, a fun thing, not a big criticism]
