Hello

I'm in the 14 day trial and trying to see if SmugMug will fit my needs. It's been a real tossup of pros and cons between Squarespace and Smugmug, but I am leaning towards Smugmug. One of the hurdles that I need to find a way over is how Smugmug handles text in relationship to the photo.

Here is the scenero:

On the main page I have a menu and placed a link called "My First Folder" where I've placed two pages within called "A" and "B". Each page has one photo placed on the left of the page and then text placed on the right of the photo.

1. Is there a way to change the page link within the folder to have the shopping cart instead of the page icon within the folder? I'm looking to mimic how the picture icon operates within a gallery.

When you click on the page link within the folder:

Is there a way to put the buy button in the lower right hand corner of the photo upon opening the page? I realize that if one clicks on the image it will enlarge the image and provide the buy button on the lower right hand corner. The customer may not realize this though.

The text with the photo is important and I don't like how the text displays with the image in a gallery. The text only appears across the bottom of the screen and pops up and down on the mouse movement. Is there a better solution than using the folder/page navigation?

Thank you for any insight you can provide.

    Not an expert here...

I don't think you can put a shopping cart/buy option on a page...not sure though and there may be a creative solution around this (when one clicks on a image (enlarging the image), I think it's going to the gallery which contains the photo).

You should be able to change the way text is displayed with photos under the Customize Gallery by selecting Customize Site then the wrench icon for the folder (display tab).
