Re Sampling in Photoshop

When I increased the size of an image in Photoshop and save it and then go back
to re check the size, I find the image has returned to the same original size

I can't figure out why ..

If you are using Photoshop's "Image Size" ... have you checked "Re-sample Image" in the dialogue box?

Resample creates or deletes pixels, your image size will change. Image size without only changes the resolution and tag.
