Hi,

As a business, we'd like to expand in to 360 degree product photography. We have some of the equipment to do it, and would love to offer services in this area to our clients.

We've found a brilliant company that can offer the software to present the images (www.melown.com) however, as usual due to the restrictions in place with the new Smugmug (which are understandable, but also annoying), we can not embed the spinner into our Smugmug website. The spinner is embedded in websites using an iFrame which gets removed by the customiser when we save the HTML block.

Here is an example of the spinner.

Here is an example of the embed code:

[HTML]<iframe width="540" height="350" src="https://spin-browser.melown.com/frame/b5Jh3fZ2&quot; frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>[/HTML]

Embedding examples of our work on our Smugmug site would be vital for us to advertise it. That's why we're hoping that you could work with them to create a Content Block, similar to the Wufoo form and Adsense content blocks, where we can paste in the code they give us and it'd safely embed it on our Smugmug site.

It doesn't seem a lot of work to implement, and it would please a lot of photographers, I'm sure.

Thanks,
Dan

If you'd like to see support for iframes added, you could add your vote / comment to the existing suggestion on the SmugMug feedback pages. That'll help us to keep track of all suggestions. Thanks!

Hey Dan, Have you considered a 360 image hosting provider? The will typically output embeddable code that you can easily insert into any site. Check our Rotary View, Imajize or Sirv - all 360 image hosting providers.

None of those embeds will work with SmugMug, since New SmugMug doesn't allow either JavaScript or IFrames. The best you could achieve would be a CSS-only solution that loads different images depending on where the mouse is hovering.
