Weird Referrers In Stats

Please would someone explain this to me, as Stats here on SM always confuse me...

I have noticed some weird referrers in my stats... huffingtonpost.com is one of them. If I click on '27' next to the referrer, all I am told is that it is www.huffingtonpost.com

Unless they have 'borrowed' an image of mine, I cannot explain why this is appearing here. Pentaxforums is another. I use Nikon and have never even been onto their site!

Can anyone shed some light on this? Is there a way to get the exact link that referred back to my site? Clicking on any of the numbers, returns the root url and not the exact link (as it is supposed to, from what I understand).

Thanks
Clive

The referrer tab shows you sites that displayed one of your photos embedded into that other site. Clicking on the number usually returns the direct link to the page a photo is embedded in. If only the homepage is displayed there, it could be that the photo was embedded on the homepage if there's no other link showing. However, referrers are not always reliable and depending on the way the site is set up, it may not return to us the link to where a photo is embedded.

If clicking on the numbers doesn't reveal any more details, it means we don't have any more details or they would be displayed there.

Is there a way to use a Google "Site:" search on another site to find links back to your own site?

Yes, this is a feature of Google Webmaster Tools, here's what it looks like:
