On another thread about matching Blogger to the new Smugmug the question of how to create a feed to a specific post came up. I thought I'd just make a thread showing how I do it. I've used Blogger for the past few years. I've found it handy to be able to add content to my photo site using a feed block to specific posts.

If you don't know what a feed block is read this: What does the "Feed" content block do?

Using this code will always bring up the latest Blogger post on your site. Replace the red lettering with your own blog site's name. For instance, mine it lutzr2.

So that is the standard way to get the latest posts. If you want to have a specific Blogger post appear you have to do an additional step. In Blogger, you go to the post you want to use and hit Edit. In the upper right click the Label icon. Write whatever keyword, phrase, code you want to use. For me, I use the date of the subject matter. For this example I'm going to use the date of the wedding being written about.

On Smugmug I then place a feed block on a page. I then use this code. Again, you change the red lettering to what you're using. In this case the "YOURLABEL" is going to be the same label I added to my Blogger post, "20130928."

Adjust your display settings, and you're done.

Here's the page I used for this demo.
