Went into a theater to see a first-run showing of a new film on Ketchikan (It had been raining all day), and when we came out..... I saw this. 5 images, stitched in Photoshop 6. It did a good job on this one I think. c&c welcome,

Truly a beautiful capture. The tranquility of the harbor contrasted with the threatening skies is awesome. Only one teensy nit, I find that the light spot in the sky on the far right really draws my eye over too it too much and becomes a primary point of interest due to its relative brightness.
Images from SE Asia - some like it HOT

Great capture, well seen. There's a lot of potential here. As is, it's a little too HDR-ish for me, and I would delete the tower.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

Thanks Fiddlestix. I'm not happy with the patch of sun in the clouds either, but I left it in because it's so unusual. Still can't quite figure out exactly how/why it's even there. I think the sun is spotlighting behind that first, smaller ridgeline. I'll prob make a version without it too.

Overall I like this image. I do wonder if you could open up the shadows to reveal some additional detail?

Thanks Sam. I did print a version with the shadows boosted, and I like it too.
