Everything was coming along just great until day before yesterday when I added the guest upload link. Now, all I get is the "Error 1001....." message when I click the link, and reference to a cloudflare site used by SmugMug.

Googled and found some so-called solutions, but nothing worked. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Here is a gallery with the guest upload link (it's also on a couple other galleries and I get the same error 1001 message): http://oursite.smugmug.com/RKReunion/Photos

Thanks in advance Smugmug Heroes

    Hi DeeRich,
Sorry about that. There's currently an issue with the way the link is displayed in the gallery settings. You can easily fix the link by removing .www from it. So instead of:
    http://oursite.www.smugmug.com/upload/
the link should start out like this:
    http://oursite.smugmug.com/upload/

Hopefully the link display issue will be resolved shortly.

Sebastian, what an easy fix! Do not know how in the world ...or where, I ever typed it that way! For heavens sake, I do know better.ne_nau.gif Anyway, I manually changed it in one of the "guest upload" links and instantly it worked like a charm. Now if I can just find where the originating improperly written link is, I'll be happy. Will check the My Account area first.

    Thank you, Sebastian!!

    DeeRich,
As far as I know, the incorrect link only shows up in the gallery settings > security&privacy section if you scroll down all the way. Once the bug is squashed, that should be corrected.

I checked every gallery and found the mistake in only that one.

    Thanks again!

I'm having the same problem. Removing "www." didn't change anything - still getting "error 1001" message when clicking on guest upload link. Any help is appreciated.

Well, I figured out the problem, but it's weird. I can't just copy and paste from the website because it pastes with the black background from the site and (try as I may) couldn't be changed. So I copied and pasted it to a word processing document first so it would look normal, then copied and pasted again to the email to send. It was the exact same address, nothing had changed, but the link didn't work.

I had to try pasting multiple places again since I still couldn't get rid of the black background by directly copying it, but this time when I pasted it in the word processing document first, I did NOT choose "destination formatting." Apparently, that messed it up the first time.

Just thought I'd post this if anyone else has the same issue. But the bigger problem is the inability to copy directly from the website without copying the black background. That's odd.

Even in this forum, copy and paste does not work. I copy and paste into notepad and copy from
there. It removes all formatting. Word Processors add in all kinds of bad code and should not be
    used for copy/paste.
