I have been gone for a week. My family went down to North Carolina to meet my father for Christmas.

I didn't get to do a lot of shooting, but I squeezed some in each day.

Here are a couple of landscapes I thought I would share.

I hope you enjoyed them

you just managed to squeeze in some absolutely great pictures of an absolutely great landscaperolleyes1.gif I should be so lucky. I'm right at the base of the mtns rimming the San Bernardino valley (inland so cal) and they alway tease me to come take pictures, but between kids and work, I haven't made the time to go find spots that are remote enough that I won't get any power lines, etc. I really should make the effort...

What part of NC were you at? The east part is pretty from what I remember (traveling up there occassionally while I lived in Chapel Hill)

    thanks for sharing.

It can be hard to find the time, I know. My family likes to sleep in, I dont, so I usually can get a couple of hours of shooting in before they are awake.

We were in the west end of NC in a place called Maggie Valley.

Thanks for looking, and taking the time to comment.

Thanks. I didn't try using the IR filter on this trip. I usually think of it when there is bright sun shine.

I may try an IR photoshop action on it, just to check it out.

    Thanks for looking.

    Thanks for the kind words.

It's pretty easy to see why they call them the smokeys.
