Thanks Gubbs, Its almost pure luck to get the right lighting on these trees because they are so many and they are so big. Till this day I haven't got a good one of the General Grant Tree, but I will continue to try.

Thanks for looking and your comments,
    Mikko

"Towering" "Imposing" those are the words that comes to mind.
    Great pic!!
Composition of both form and light is excellent.
I can't grasp the notion of time.

When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
    in two billion years,
    all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

    Whats up flyingdutchie,

These thing are deffenently towering. These giant sequoias stand around 200 to about 275 feet high. I think they are the largest living organisms on earth, they are just huge. Just up the hill is the third largest tree in the world.

    Thanks,
    Mikko

    flyingdutchie,

If you feel like an hobbit then I must be 1/2 a hobbit, I'm only 5'6".

You know whats crazy is that their pine cones are smaller than the palm of your hand and the seed is about 1/16 of and inch in size. Then a couple hundred years latter there gigantic.

    Late,
