Custom SmugMug banner?

Hello all,

I'm brand new to this forum and am looking for a little help in the way of having a nice-looking, customized banner designed for my SmugMug site! I need to brand my work better, as I currently have a very basic banner title which lacks that "punch" and professional appearance I'm looking for. I can edit shots, however am not familiar with how to design an actual banner.

Any suggestions on where I can turn, who's for hire, etc?

My website is: www.FlashoverImages.com.

Heads up, your current banner has this link, needs to be fixed.

You are missing the http:// in front of the www.

    Hi

The banner can be made in a program like PhotoShop. Once it's created it should be easy to add to your site. This site gives you a good idea of how to create the banner. I wil differ some based on which photo editing program you have on your computer, but this should be a good start :)

Depending on which version of your site you're adding this to, the steps will be different.

For Old SmugMug, you can use your Easy Customizer or Advanced customization. Either way will work just fine: http://legacyhelp.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/678481

In New SmugMug you will want to add a single photo content block to the top of your site, and select the banner image. Then adjust the size of the block and the image's ratio to fit your needs. You'll find further help with using content blocks here: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1210628

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please let us know.

    Cheers,

Thank you for the replies so far.

As I'm still using the "vanity" SmugMug template, my plans are to kill two birds with one stone and update to the new edition at the same time.
