What is the easiest way to browse my site and get a link to a specific photo using an iOS device?

(In this case "link" means http ://xxx.smugmug.com/photos/i-N8768786d/0/L/i-N2768768d-L.jpg )

Use to be a way to switch from mobile view to regular web view. But it seems to be lost.

    Hi

The get a link feature is a flash based tool, so it won't be available in the iOS or any mobile view for that matter. The only way I have been able to get a link like that is in the Dolphin browser. Then you should be able to go into the Dolphin browser settings, enable the desktop mode. Then go to the photo and click Share > Get a Link. Since the Copy button is Flash based, it won't work, but you can click and hold while on the link, select all, and copy. I just tested this on my phone, and it worked without any problems.

After downloading Dolphin, you can follow these steps in order to copy a direct photo link:

Then paster your URL and you should be all set. Sorry for all of the screenshots. If you're unfamiliar with the Dolphin browser, they should help :)

Please let me know if there is anything we can help you with.

    Cheers,

Thanks, I'll have to try that.

If I can make a suggestion: implement some functionality in the smugmug browser (the iOS app) that make it possible to do this.

I was able to get that in the regular Safari browser on my iPhone. I did a long press to get the pop up menu, and the choices were Save Image and Copy. I tapped Copy and switched into the Notes app and did a Paste and it pasted the text link, not the picture. So I didn't need a special browser.

It's still a great suggestion for the Smugmug app, though.
