When I logged off last night everything was fine. I am using a beautiful script font as the logo and headings. Today there is this HUGE, DARK, HIDEOUS font everywhere instead of the lovely script. What happened???

I have locked down the site. The password is "damn" lowercase. Please go to the Remembering Clete folder...or just go directly to the domain: www.cletehaegert.com There is a Wufoo guestbook, no pwd needed.

Thanks.

Well, I logged out, shut down, and now it's OK (no it wasn't a matter of clearing the temp internet files...I do that all the time and it's automatic when I close the internet). However, this has happened before. What could I be doing...or is it some quirk with the site in general? Scary that guests could be seeing the huge ugly font. I have noticed that so often when I first go to a folder...or any gallery, that big ugly font shows, but after a few seconds it goes away. It's worrisome. Are guests seeing this?

It looks like you added Statcounter JavaScript to a CSS Content Block on your site. We don't allow the use of JavaScript in customizations - so this could be causing some intermittent problems on your site.

Besides this, it's quite possible your browser just didn't load the font file properly. If it happens again, and is reproducible, contact us directly:

    Bobby, thanks for your reply.

Woops! about the Javascript in the CSS block on the CUSTOMIZE ENTIRE SITE page. It is working, and Statcounter tells everything and then some. Amazing!! I love it.

Statcounter indicates that SmugMug has approved their service, and the code I added was provided by Statcounter as the code if one is using SmugMug. ??? I will go back to Statcounter and see if they have a CSS code. Do you know if there is a CSS code for Smug provided by Statcounter?

However, even before I added the JavaScript Statcounter, there is a little "delayed" time (2-3 seconds, when I first open a gallery, logged out) when the big black bold letters show before it "settles down" and shows the script font I have on the gallery.

    ???

You don't need to use code for Statcounter; the statcounter id should be set up on the Stats page of your Smug account settings. Scroll down to see the statcounter entries.

See screen shot at the bottom of the help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/1266267-can-i-use-statcounter-on-my-site-.

This is actually how I did it, and the link you sent (above) confirms it...makes me feel bettermwink.gif. However, I had copied and pasted the wrong code. All seems well now. (What a great stat counter.)

    Thanks again.
