This Gorgeous Ukranian asked me to help her do a tribute to her troubled country so we shot a couple of her concepts.

Let's see how everyone feels about the non-blurred, semi-blurred and fully blurred BKG's in these.

Concept 1. - Jena poses in traditional dress in a Ukranian country village

2. We did have a laugh because very few Ukranians tote water in heels, but oh well.

5. Switch to concept 2. Hopefully the message here is self explanatory

8. She wanted a link to New York. Can you find where her expression comes from?

9. Back to her cottage but casual this time

10 and, of course, (this is an 85mm prime at f3.2)

My mother used to be a traditional Ukrainian dancer.
The layout and patter of the dress is correct, length isn't ;)

even these are considered short by traditionalists

No argument from me. Not being a liberal, I know very little about things I know nothing about. rolleyes1.gif

Only a non liberal would admit that!:D

Three and nine toot my horn, although, I have a feeling you won't see a pair of shoes like those with that particular outfit in the Ukraine.

    Good job!

Just love 9 & 2 great poses and a marvelous model. And of course good color, light and sharpness

Love 8-9-10 especially, great posing, lighting and pp. The evenness of the light on the model and the background I find distracting. With more contrast between the two would bring your eye more to her.

    Thanks guys.

I don't see Jena very often but I'm going to try a lot harder to do so.

Hands down the best shots you have posted to date. 2 is my favorite with 10 close behind (even though its a touch soft) Your WB and exposures seem a lot better here with still a few misses (3,4,7,9) and the poses work for me. Some of the buildings/structures are really asking for some contrast/popping

I really like 1,2 and 10. I love how the colors pop.
