Hello:
I am trying to set up a smugmug website and am encountering some problems.
1)How do I change the aspect ratio of a photo so I can upload it?
2) I have an annoying ad which is situated right in and on top of my images in
the photostream.
3) I am having trouble applying the billing feature to my galleries. I have
selected the galleries I want, but when I open up a photo, I only see the
cost of the image--there is no markup.
Thanx.

Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing? I don't see any ads on my site, and I don't believe smug shows any ads. It would be helpful for us to see what you are seeing. What level account do you have? I assume it is either Portfolio or Business since those are the only two where you can set prices. What steps have you gone through to price your photos? You first need to create a pricelist, then you can apply it to your galleries.
See pricing help page at http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93345-how-do-i-price-photos-in-order-to-sell-them-?b_id=1644.
If you are still experiencing problems please let us know what steps you have gone through in pricing your photos.

1. As Denise stated you will need to change the photo prior to uploading. What is it you are trying to do?
2. There are no ads of any kind on any SmugMug site. If you are seeing pop-up ads appear on your site, you are likely infected with a virus/adware/spyware. I would recommend doing a virus/spyware/adware scan on your computer and removing any offending software, and that should likely solve the problem for you. If you seeing something different, let us know what it is you are seeing.
3.Depends on the type of account you have, if you have a portfolio or business you can change your prices: http://help.smugmug.com/customer/portal/articles/93345 Logged in you will always see the default prices. Either log out or open a different browser with you not logged in to verify the prices you have set.
