I was in Seattle for a business conference this past week, and a friend from the area took me to a few of his favorite photo spots.

I like the second and the third. Good subjects and comps. The first looks dark. Maybe an exposure boost or a bump up in curves?

#3 is golden - leading lines from lower left through the image, contrast in lighting, and more that I can't explain well enough.

Great iconic images. Looks like you hit all the local hot spots for city shots, from one end of town to the other and across the water.

Thanks for the feedback, David. I'll take another look at it.

Thanks, folks, I really appreciate the kind words. It's a beautiful city, and I plan to get back there when I don't have to fit shooting around the job. I did get a bit of an aviation fix as well, between the Boeing plants, and all the seaplanes operating in the area.

This was a new Thai Airways 787 returning to Everett on a Boeing test flight.

A new 737 preparing to depart from Renton for the short hop to Boeing Field for paint. Renton was neat to visit for me - Boeing built the KC-135 tankers, which I flew in the Air Force, at the Renton plant.

Love the aviation shots, particularly the Beaver. When I was a kid my dad worked a side job at Kenmore air harbor where he got his "Floats" ticket in a Beaver.
