It seems www.smugmug.com is down....
I can't grasp the notion of time.
When I hear the earth will melt into the sun,
in two billion years,
all I can think is:
"Will that be on a Monday?"

Yeah, I can't get to my SM site either and I just published a new set of proofs for a client today. They're probably trying to look at it now. :uhoh

- Wednesday 12/28 ~2100 PST to ~2129 PST - Switch failure caused our database servers to become isolated with the rest of the site. onethumb and I removed the offending hardware and had a spirited conversation on the way back from the datacenter about reducing single points of failure within the network.
- Thursday 12/29 ~1400 PST - ~1515 PST - onethumb and I installed a second router, which caused occasional loss of connectivity. As all upgrades rarely go unpunished, the new router decided to reset our BGP sessions every minute. We reverted and will address this at some point in the near future.
I might have the exact times of the outages off by a bit, however that was the approximate times from what I gather from the activity on my cellphone.
Again, sorry for the inconvenience. I'll try to limit our potential customer-impacting work to a scheduled maintenance window in the future.
