Great shots Randy!
The Stars, Like Dust is a 1951 science fiction mystery book by writer Isaac Asimov - #2 immediately spurred my childhood memory of this book title.
I think maybe one of the best things about photography like this, is just being there... in the dim darkness, cool air, solitude, and creaking silence... then gazing up...

Hey Eric,
Your spot on about simply being there. It's one of the simple pleasures in life.
I appreciate hearing that the image brought back an old buried memory.
I'll only bore ya'll with a couple more of my Colorado night shots.
You can bore me with work like this any time, Randy! Beautiful photos!
I finally had the stars align this weekend, to be in a dark place with no clouds, and was able to get some Milky Way shots. I'm still trying to figure out star trails.

Thanks for the kind words!
I'm sitting here in anticipation of your night sky shots.
I'm just glad I finally took the time to try it myself.

As always, thanks for looking!
Sleep is way overrated!
You didn't notice that I nodded off to sleep during the long exposure, did ya'?
I finally had the stars align
