Honeys in Flight (woohoo :D) and other Honey shots too :)

Kinda really excited as it's the first time I've truly succeeded at getting a Bee in flight and sharp too. Hovers are great to get in flight but often they do just that... Hover which kinda makes it a tiny bit easier.

This first one, I caught it right at the top of the frame and think perhaps I clipped a tiny tiny but of its head fluff :D but I'd like to consider this one rather successful :)

This second one, caught it on its approach and flying away but again, managed to snap a nice sharp shot. No crops on either of these shots.

The last three are of the same Honey bee finally enjoying something other than the Sedum :)

Slight wing clip but I still like the shot

#2 is pure joy Ian! Probably inordinate amount of work, but if the the pole type thing on left side of the bokeh could be gotten rid of somehow, it would be perfection!

Thanks SB. The slight lighter area is one of the slats of wood on the fence where it overlaps the previous so has reflected light back a touch. To be honest, far too much work to remove that, I had a quick try and failed. I'm just enjoying the fact I got the capture as I did :D hehe. Must admit #1 is my favourite of the two in flight shots as I got the side profile but I love the wing captures in #2. :)

These are grand. #2 and #3 are special. I need to learn from you how to capture macros. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks again Gary. Feel free to ask questions.

I had a look through your gallery. Some wonderful thought provoking Black and whites in there.

Thanks Ian. I have a macro but don't use it much. After I fire it up and get some mileage I be asking. Thanks for taking a look at my snaps.
