We stayed at the Assiniboine Lodge: http://www.assiniboinelodge.com - the only way in there is via helicopter, or via an 18 mile hike. We took the easy way in :-)
From there it's a short hike - maybe 1.5 miles, 800 vertical feet - to this hilltop called "the niblet," and that's where the shot is from. From the picture on the lodge's page, it looks like they're fond of the same location
Highly recommended spot. It's gorgeous in every way. I'm of course partial to mid-September because that's when all the larch trees turn and lose their needles (yes, there is such a thing as a deciduous conifer!)
