Howdy All,

Been a while, actually had a nice relaxing Vacation
for week.

I'd been wanting to go down South for quite a few years,
mainly to see the Missions of San Antonio and also Goliad, Texas
where a large part of the States History took place.

Here's a few imagines from Goliad, specifically the Fannin Monument,
and Presidio la Bahia.

here's a link to the history of it http://www.presidiolabahia.org/

and https://www.tshaonline.org/handbook/online/articles/qeg02

I tell you, Craig, it just ain't right that we don't get treated to your stuff on a routine basis. I'm pulling just as hard as you are for your retirement date to roll around. Maybe then, you can bring production back up to where it used to be.

I like them all, but that last one is vintage Craig. thumb.gif

    Howdy Don,

Thanks Very Much, it's good to be posting again.
Working the Nightshift has really been a challenge
    and wears me out.

I have a few more to work on and will post them when
    that's done.

    Thanks Again !!!

    Tom

    Howdy Tom,

Thanks so very much, it was really good to get out and
see those beautiful sites, and was so glad that a few of the
    images turned out.

:D:D:D Appreciate the good wishes for the Retirement,
needless to say I am really getting more and more
excited that it's getting closer and closer.

Hopefully we can all get together soon, and
do some shooting and have a great time.

    Thanks Again !!!

    Howdy SB,

Thanks very much for your very kind words,
that's very nice of you. IR is a very exciting
type of photography for me. It's basically
the same principles that are used in regular
color photography but I'm using a modded
    D70S that only shoots IR.

    Howdy You Rascal,

Thanks very much, had to laugh about the Clouds, even
KK recognizes the clouds seem to show up :D:D:D

Hope you and yours are still enjoying your time up in the Mountains,
man that has to be wonderful to wake up and see that every day.

Let me know when you get home.

    Howdy David,

Thanks very much, it's always so neat to see what shows up
after a day out shooting and IR has that mystery to it on
how things will be when the post processing is done.

So, like all shooting we hope the image will turn out as we
saw it, but with IR things seem to show up and kind of appear.

    Howdy Ian,

Thanks very much, have to say I'm a Native Texan
and so much of what we learned and found was
truly amazing to Us. Can't wait to go back to
    see and learn more.

Interesting and good use of IR, (but you already knew that). Even though I enjoy your IR, #1 is my fav. The starkness, general lack of upkeep (or seemingly so), the emptiness all speak to me. So what happened at there which resulted in the Fannin Men's Memorial ?

    Howdy Gary,

Thanks very much for your reply, and thoughts on the first image.
I have to agree, one thing about IR is that it can turn what would
be a somewhat desolate landscape into a surreal image.

The Fannin Men's Memorial, here's the link, it's really a very
    good read.
