how to change opacity of info cover on galleries

Hi,

In my galleries section I have them set to info cover so that all the gallery thumbnails are faded out and then when you hover the image becomes full opacity again. I want the images to be a little less faded out to begin with and at first I thought there was a transparent white cover on the images that faded away when you hovered but now I'm pretty sure they just have the initial image opacity set to .5 or something and then it fades to 1 when you hover. I'm not sure how to target that initial state and set it to like .8.

    Hi,

So, to be sure that I understand you are currently using the following display settings:
    Info Style - Covering
    Info Hover - Hide

Meaning when you see the feature images they are "covered" by the gallery info, which is removed when you mouse over the gallery, showing the full color image.

That's the basic effect that you want but you don't want the cover to by as opaque to begin with, correct? Then, when you hover you want the image to be MORE obscured, right?

I think this is possible with CSS but, it's a bit beyond me so I wanted to make sure I had it right before I asked for more help. :)

Including a link to your site will also help us see what you currently have and better understand what you would like to do.

    We're standing by!

    Best Regards,
