I just published my "new" Smugmug site based on the Arc theme. I was running legacy Smugmug until tonight. First of all, kudos to the teams at SmugMug for the work done here. Although I came in kicking and screaming, I can already see that I'm going to have a much nicer site under the new system. Thank you.
I see two quick issues out of the gate that I'm just not familiar enough with the new "works" to even know how to begin to correct. If you visit http://www.stephenskoutas.com you will almost immediately be presented with a beautiful image of a wooden architecture marvel. The photo isn't mine, and I believe it came with the theme. How do I remove it?
Second, there is a bar down the left side of the screen for links and social media. I'm not sure what it is called, but can I move it farther to the left (up against the edge or just slightly off would be great, and more transparent would be even greater!)
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

customize > customize site > background > background photo > choose the photo > done
The bar on the left will move to the left if you switch your site width which is a fixed 1100 px to stretchy. You can change the transparency of the left sidebar by following these steps.
customize > customize site > entire site > theme > advanced tab > left sidebar
