Least Sandpiper - The smallest Sanpiper

Took some more shots of these little birds last week. I think it's hard to appreciate how small these guys are by just looking at the pictures. They only stand about 3-4 inches off the ground. Average length is 6 in.

    Love those birds..............and they move, too.

    I have shot them from a sitting position, will try lying next.

    Thank you for your comments Steve, Jeff, Ginger and JC. It was not easy kneeling down in the mud to get as even as possible with these guys. Had to clean up my tripod after getting home mwink.gif
