Hi Wally, nice set! Below is my feedback.....not coming from area of expertise but what I notice in general.....

I love the expressions in first two shots, but bg is busy......
    I LOVE #3!
#4 is neat....looks like a pre-meeting of Untouchables! The lights that got in front of some faces is my only quibble.
In #5, we don't have to see the bulb....it would give rim lighting no matter what....
In #6....flare, chem trail, tilted pole, clipped gown...meh
In #7 is great....she is in the flow....but he is interrupted....the hand gesture doesn't seem affectionate etc....but love the shot anyway!
    Cheers!

Thanks so much for the feedback :)

The first two were part of a freak incident. As soon as he picked up the phone I was like "but your elbows on your knees and look pouty. Okay, roll your eyes at him like he's ruining your life." lol. I was originally moved to this spot after I saw the leading lines of the stairs below it and I was going to step back into the grass and grab what I actually wanted. I should have slowed down a little.

#4, you're totally right. Had I bent down just a little more I could have fixed it!

#5, I'm not sure why I wanted the bulb peaking. Now you're making me wonder about what I was thinking when I placed it there... hmmm....

#6, I was torn over. I like the chem trail and the flare actually making a set of leading lines but the two poles really bother me. I should have just zoomed in or moved closer.

#7, definitely was awkward trying to setup. I'll try it again I'm sure. He does look more confused than intrigued and maybe I should have had him put his hand on her side? Hmmm

    1. very good idea.. but perhaps focus more on the emotions (Cropping?) 3. is good 4. is good 5. I am not sure 6 works for me and 7 is good (even though there is somethink with the hand)

Now you're making me see a shot in my mind where I move left of my original and focus on her and have him slightly out of focus behind her on the phone. Maybe even laughing it up lol. It would have been a little too forced for my taste.

Which hand in seven? Her "i don't care so throw it at the wind hand" or his "I'm touching your face awkwardly" hand? lol

You mean you want to see a side by side of before and after post? It's not all that different lol. I'll try to remember to post about it later. :)

EDIT: And good catch on the umbrella stand leg!

1 & 2 are identical lol. I called them before and after because of the cell phone :)

#7 is actually process the exact same way and then I back off of the color anywhere from 30-50% depending on what my eye likes at the moment. All I ever really do in LR is bump the contrast (+10? +15?), fix the white balance from Auto, and usually add slight vignetting (-25).
