Bugs!

Was messing around in the garden today (in the hot hot heat) and came across these two. Used fill flash on the hopper and natural light on the fly.

    I always enjoy bug shots thumb.gif and I have been keeping an eye out for some here in my yard.

    That first guy looks like he has the most wonderful face, they look like they are saying Uh Oh Sprung! :D and the flies eyes just amaze me every time I see a close up of one ...... they're not easy to capture are they.

    I'm still confused. Did you freeze him in midair with a really fast shutter? Cause he looks way to big to be sitting on the plant in there.

    super cool fly, just something about that composition that is making it weird for me. and if he was actually in flight, a really, really good capture!

    No Erik he really was just sitting there on that really weird plant. He might have been just starting to take off because i only got 3 shots and then he was gone, this is the last one.
