I like the symmetry of the shot. strong line above the mountain taking the viewer across the image, and the soft reflection.
I did a presentation on composition last week to our photo club.
My researched showed that out of about 25 how to websites about photo composition that "the rule of thirds" guideline was second most popular. I also said many times 'break the rules".
Glad to see the above is not the typical rule of thirds composition. It works well for me.

I didn't set out to "break any rules", but then again I never really consciously try and adhere to any of them either. I usually just go out with a bit of a renegade attitude, and stick with what I think looks nice ..... and then pray that others like it too! Sometimes it works
