While on leave, I started to rebuild an old house. Today I finished the restoration of an old chimney and this is how I looked like (ten days no shaving and lots of dirt from the chimney) . So, why not a selfie.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.
Of course Cavalier, below a few pictures since you asked for it.
The first one is the oversight of part of the farm, the house on the right (red circle) is where the work is ongoing. The other shots are taken inside during the work.
By the way, your photos are great as well- I was too busy being gobsmacked by the amount of work to fully appreciate the technicalities of the images!

Thanks, the house was erected in 1616 and owned by a Duke who had the right to judge. The tower was the place where the tax collection and minor court cases were handled. The fireplace was indeed a cooking area. It is a typical Flemish fireplace for the seventeenth century. Both used for cooking and heating.

I want to be you when I grow up.
