I shot this grizzly near Pelican Bay in Yellowstone NP this week. Technically not very good as I forgot to bring a tripod. :nono :rolleyes :cry

Cool shots, something I've never gotten. Looks to be pretty close even at 616mm in the first shot. To bad it didn't stand on its hind legs for you so you could get a better look at it.

Thanks Hunter. I think someone or something would have to have angered it for it stand up. Although it would make a great shot I hope I never get to the chance to shoot that! :D

Wow. That's amazing! I'd like a tighter crop on the first-maybe the bear in the lower right corner?
    Either way, two cool pictures!

I would try to lose the soft foreground elements....it is wonderful shot and pretty sharp so tighter crop is probably going to hold up!thumb.gif

Thanks. Unfortunately, the IQ of the images won't allow much tighter crops. They fall apart pretty quickly. I'll post an example in a bit.

Here's a tighter crop on the first image. Next time I will have a tripod to help steady the lens. I'll work on the exposure too. rolleyes1.gif

This problem could be easily solved if you just moved closer to the Grizzly!:D
