And I'm not talking about wishes for world peace, etc . . .
I'm talking about what kind of hardware do you plan to add to the camera case this year - I'll go first . . .

- Probably Nikon VR 70-200mm f/2.8 but if I'm poorer, a Sigma 70-200 2.8
- because I played with one and I think they're fun
- and make my D70s a backup. This one is probably more wish than reality, but we'll see.
- wider glass, maybe that new sigma zoom? Replace my Nikon kit lens.
- 50mm 1.8 or 1.4
- Crumpler or Kata (or maybe the new LowePro design) backpack
- a couple of Alien Bees
- Wacom tablet?? & more RAM (because size matters)

I knew, of course, that trees and plants had roots, stems, bark, branches and foliage that reached up toward the light. But I was coming to realize that the real magician was light itself.

here it goes...
Canon 17-40 f4L
Canon 70-200 f/4L
Pheleng 8mm fisheye *??*
various "accesories" and so-on.

Canon 24-70 f/2.8L
It will go quite nicely with my 70-200 f/4L, so I'll have 28-200 covered in only 2 (high quality) lenses. If I never get the amount of money needed for it, then I can always settle for a much cheaper Tamron 28-75 2.8
I'd also like to get a 2gb or more CF card, but that's among the lesser items.

"Money can't buy happiness...But it can buy expensive posessions that make other people envious, and that feels just as good.":D
Canon 20D, Canon 50 1.8 II, Canon 70-200 f/4L, Canon 17-40 f/4 L, Canon 100mm 2.8 Macro, Canon 430ex.
I just sold my digital rebel and am now looking very closely at the Canon 20d, with the nikon d70 still in the running too.
But .... really ..... what I want is the 5d or the 1d mark II, or even the nikon d200 .... in my next life maybe ( I'm told I better sell a whole lot of photos to pay those cameras ...lol )
:lurk
17-85 IS
70-300 IS
Sigma 30/1.4
Sigma 150/2.8 macro
580EX
A couple larger softboxes
Parts for a new PC (still pimpin' a P3 700)
Manfrotto monopod
After buying a Sony 34" widescreen CRT HDTV in November, we'll see how this wishlist does. Hopefully, the side jobs keep coming.

Canon 20D | 10-22 | 17-85 IS | 50/1.4 | 70-300 IS | 100/2.8 macro
Sony F717 | Hoya R72
a Zeiss 100mm f/1.0 T* lens (lol)
but if i were being serious, which i'm not, I would have to say a 17-40L. such a good performer!
...I guess what I'm saying is that my wish really is to marry a rich woman who will bankroll my appetite for camera gear. :eat
Problem is that the likelyhood of any of the above happening is...well not likely Well, I've promised myself only the best glass from here on in - so we'll see.

Actually, I'd probably have to have real-money-in-pocket to make that work. Not there yet!
