Wow Eric! Kind of shots that give one goose pumps! I was trying to come up with favorites and it kept getting better and better!
#5, #6, #8, #9 and #10 are pure joy for me!
Like standing up and clapping for! bow
Cheers!
# 2 and #8 for me. What a fun outing you must have had.

That's one of the very best photographic " stories " I've ever seen....anywhere, anytime. Simply tremendous work, Eric.clap Superb photography + equally impressive overall presentation = a pinnacle achievement.
I salute you, my friend,
Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thank-you Taz - glad you could enjoy them... you can probably find similar events in your area next year.
# 2 and #8 for me. What a fun outing you must have had.
Thanks for the look David.
It is a fun and festive event, unique and colorful for photographers, and very family-friendly at the San Diego edition.
Seefutlung (Gary) gives a great description of the holiday, it's customs and history, in his OCS thread ~ http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=250484
I think #2 is my favorite also.

Thank-you Tom, you are so very generous in your comments...
I'm not sure that I merit them, but I do appreciate your enthusiastic support - again, kind thanks.
It is always an exciting challenge to wade into the human throng at these events and search for the right combination(s)
of subject, lighting, background and moments to create a coherent document - a "story" as you described it.
I'm glad to know that this was your impression in viewing these images as that was certainly part of my intent in creating them.
btw... I have been desperately searching for some decent RUST subjects... but, you guys have set the bar so high, I'm thoroughly intimidated and feel I must continue my quest for the ultimate RUST... the saga continues...
Cheers and Regards!

She sure was Taz... w/wo the costume.
Funny thing... I passed by several times and took clicks, and each time, she intently locked eyes
with me (not that I'm anything to look at), and she made me feel funny inside - in a good way.
This soon became mentally awkward for me, because my bride (33 yrs.) was not far away...
She probably was reacting to my 5DMk3 with the red ring on the lens...

Well be glad that Mrs. did not notice this eye-locking business......otherwise your participation in "Dia de Los Muertos" would have taken more literal turn......thumb

Terrific series, Eric. You knocked this one right out of the park.
Thanks very much Richard, for looking and commenting... I feel like I have learned so much here in the forums from you

The lovely bride on the left in #8 was very much in-character and was really enjoying the gig.
Thanks very much Mr. C

Nice try Gary, but, what I meant was, her charm and beauty shine through the face paint.
