    Interesting fellow. However the focus on his face is sot compared to the spoons and hand. Doesn't work for me.

    Thanks Don, yeah I was disappointed that I didn't get both in focus in either photo. Below is the opposite of the first. He was a nice guy and we chatted for a minute but I felt a bit awkward though I'm pushing through my own hesitations approaching strangers on the street. I'm carrying my Sigma DP1s with me for awhile which requires me to get up close & personal so it was a good exercise for me. I made the mistake of not being used to the focus and used f/4 with him. Nonetheless a good exercise today and looking forward to getting more.

    Interesting character. While ideally you would have both the face and the spoons in focus, if forced to choose, I'd go with the face. As long as the spoons are recognizable, I don't think they need to be sharp as knives. mwink.gif
