Well done. Was this live or poses during rehearsals? Either way, well done.

I imagine parents would be eager to get some prints.

This was dress rehearsal. The drama instructor allows me to walk the stage. She think that on stage with a camera in the face makes opening night, sans camera, less intimidating. My Smugmug account goes viral when I post them. Pretty funny.

So vivid and well-exposed - nice.
That Fuji camera continues to impress me.

    Ahhhh... to be young again!

    #1, #2, #4 and last portrait of Dorothy.....WOW!clap.gifclapclap.gif

How do you get such perfect light on subject and such solid crisp dark bg? Just how it was?

These kids are fabulous.....such high production values!

Totally joyous! Expressions are fantastic and color and perfect bg! bowdown.gif

Thank you Eric. I love my Fuji's (most of the time).

It is a shame the youth is wasted on the young.

This is a theatrical production in a real theatre. So ... theatre lighting. Typically, theatre lighting is like shooting fish in a barrel. (Like a giant studio.) Unfortunately, when kids are manning the lights you get a lot of uneven lighting. (Like a spot illuminating the chest but not the face.)

Whitney is the #1 public high school in California, (per testing). These kids are all exceptional and they all support each other, (in a school of nerds there are no nerds). The drama teach is also exceptional with student crafting sets matching their intellect and desire to excel.

With total access to the stage and make-up rooms, these WHS performances are a lot of fun for me and I get some interesting images to boot.
