Can't see pics

OK, I cleared my cache, cleared my cookies, logged on again. I am still not seeing pictures in most threads. Sometimes I get two out the whole page. Some threads I get no pics. Other websites are working fine. What can the problem be with Dgrin?

I can see the pictures on the Dgrin Smugmug site for the picture of the year, but I am not seeing any labels on the galleries. I had to click on the pics and try all the galleries until I found the right one. The title shows up on the actual gallery.

Dgrin is not any fun today. Who messed it up?

    Hi Snappy. Erem - hang on, we'll see what's up, OK? I realize Dgrin is not fun for you today - but I'm not getting complaints from anyone else that are similar so, let's see what's what.

    What browser do you use normally?

    Do you have a second browser to try?

    Do you have another computer to try?

    Sometimes, Shift-Refresh does the trick, too.

    I see four galleries but no gallery titles using NS72. See them in IE6 & FF1.5.

    No I don't see that. I see pictures but no titles.

    On Dgrin I only see a few pictures. In most threads I see the text but no pictures.

    I'm using Firefox. I also have netscape and internet explorer, but I have always gotten the best results with firefox in the past. Netscape has problems sometimes with my bank site.

    Can't see gallery titles
    hi mike, i'm not seeing titles on the galleries in the dgrin site. i can click on the pictures and try them all until i get the right one, but that's not real convenient. when i get in the gallery the title is there, but it's not in the main one with the three pictures or the sub-gallery.

    i'm using firefox.

    I can only suggest killing Firefox and reinstalling - unless someone else has any bright ideas...

    I tried Shift/Refresh. It brought out the picture I had not been seeing and the one I had seen disappeared.

    Shift/refresh worked on another thread with only one picture.

    Dgrin.smugmug.com still has no titles.

    That's the thing with Mac humor...it occasionally helps...but most often just ticks people off more. Glad you could laugh.

    Here's one to think about. Lynnsite sent out some New Year's ecards with pics of her horses, and one quoted Groucho Marx. My daughter was cracking up:

    So, for dgrin.smugmug.com that's a customization issue and I will ask the person who made that CSS to fix it. Should be at some point today, Saturday..

    The text is actually there, but it is "out of sight". If i click and hold the page just under one of the images, and i move the mouse down a bit, the image slides up a bit, and the text appears. Can there be a difference between FF and IE in the amount of pixels they use for spacing?

    I'll have to check out some threads on dgrin to see if I can see pictures here. Don't know what the problem could be since it's happnin' with both my browsers.

    My intuition tells me that you need to upgrade your firefox thumb.gif This is an issue with firefox versions earlier than 1.5 and it's something that I've posted about in dgrin previously. Andy disabled the CSS that was causing this I see. Once he enables it again (if he does) and once you upgrade to firefox 1.5 or better (which you should anyhow) you won't have that problem.

    Anyhow you can redo the box thing if you want. I'm not sure what percentage of people are using outdated firefox to view it though. Does the page have google analytics on it?

    I'm back. So glad you guys kept up the dialogue on this thing. So, I upgraded my Firefox. I was using 1.0.7. Now I'm using 1.5. Guess what?
    I CAN SEE PICTURES NOW!!
    Who'd a thunk? Gosh, what would I do without you guys?
