Went out this morning and it was -6F. Luckily the geese were plentiful and I had the chance to snap off a few shots. C&C welcome and appreciated. untitled-2242_zps9a760a4e.jpg

#1 is super! Dreamy and beautiful!
In last one, I wonder if he the duck on top is distraction as it is drawing first attention and out of focus.
Normally that is good to have a marker deep as it adds to depth. Not sure if that is working here.
    Never known -65F.
In Bay Area, CA, 65F is when people start complaining!rolleyes1.gif

Thanks. I wasn't sure about the background goose in #2 either. I may clone it out and see how it looks. Today was only -6 (not -65), but with the windchill we were approaching -24. The coldest I've been was -52 (with the windchill) and that was just miserable.

    Thanks again for the critique!

    Oh I misread....still -6F is no gimme!
I hope you meant #3, as #2 is fine shot!! IMHO, #2 might benefit by chopping 0.75 inch from bottom.
Also there is bright spot on top edge.
Probably there is no room for straightening it as the geese on right side will get chopped, but if there was, it can use straightening as well!
    Keep it up! Joyous set!

Very nice shots. The water must be warmer with all the steam coming off of it.

That was definitely the case. Supposed to be cold again tomorrow so may have another opportunity.

All great shots. #1 is definitely my favorite like everyone else!

If you try to remove the upper goose (pardon the expression) in #3, you may still have to contend with his/her wake.

Good job in freezing weather to get these shots.

So I took #3 and removed the upper goose. Does this work? I just used spot healing and content-aware to remove the goose and wake.

The rework on #3 looks good.

I actually like both of them. In the original with the "upper goose" - he looks an odd-man-out and hunched as if he knows he's an outcast or maybe he is just impersonating a duck. I guess I should reign in my imagination at this point!

At any rate, I like them both.

It's a toss up for me too. I think without the upper goose it becomes a little minimalist and focused. I'll keep both versions for now. Thanks for the feedback!

Cold looking, glad that it is not that cold here, but it is coming. Nice shots once again.

Wonderful set. I really think the reworked image is far superior to the original. Also agree with SB on shaving a bit off the bottom of #2

Thanks! I haven't had a chance to rework #2 yet, but this weekend I should have some time freed up to and maybe I'll post the rework.
