This was really fun....I had absolutely no idea what most of them were, but loved seeing the colors & patterns. In making my selections, I looked at the overall composition, color and patterns--not necessarily the subject of the shot.

3rd place: The colors are wonderful, and the DOF is perfect! lifeinfocus's:


2nd place: I love the subtle colors and the lines of this. I still have no idea what it is. travelways':


And 1st place: The grain is great...just enough detail so you could maybe figure it out...mysterious in every way. I love it! TonyCooper's:

Thanks for this very unexpected recognition. I have to admit that I liked some
of the other images more than I liked my own.

For the record, that's the top of the grille and the radiator cap of a 1926 Bugatti
T-35 race car with part of the maker's badge showing. The photo was taken at
the Elliott Museum on Hutchinson Island, Florida (near Stuart).
