#16 is wonderful. What lens(es) was used for these captures?

Thanks Gary! Always great to hear from you!

My zoom lens is Canon 100-400mm L. I think it is one of the best. I learned recently that they are coming out with version-II....so if thinking about making an investment, if you already don't have one, then there are two possibilities to consider....either wait for new if budget permits to spend $2300.00 or so, or wait till new one comes out and buy used 100-400mm then as there would be a glut of supply for everyone trying to upgrade theirs, price drops precipitously for high quality lenses. I bought mine used for $1,300.00. I think when new one comes out, it might be available for $700.00. Cheers!

Thanks Hunter!! Always appreciate your support! I am glad you liked those! Even though those are common birds, still yielded some shots! Not sure how long the activity would last but if it does for another month, then plan to go back!

As said before, don't think the subject matter is everything ... :)

10's likely get my vote, but a lower pov would've prob. lost the 'stripe', and - for me, a front, rather than rear, quarter shot would've been better?

Amazing shots all. The two Egret shots are my favorites - the symmetry of its legs next to the branches is fantastic.

Thanks for the info on your lens.....looks like I'll be looking for a used one soon!

Thanks for looking and commenting Paul!wings.gif
There was no place to hide and when you approach they sort of go away from you. So I got the shot before take off....but I wanted some action and more often than not, you get butt shots because they always go away from you.....thanks to drought the grass is very low so need to find spots where one can hide out in a blind

I couldn't recommend that lens any more enthusiastically! Gives you reach for landscapes shot also when the the interesting light is away from you! Shrinks up to a small carrying size....won't let you down.deal.gif One more....:D

lNumbers #3, 9, 12 and 16 are my choices for this set.

    Excellent work. bowdown.gif

I like #16 because it has the "Birds" movie aura to it.

    #12 lighting is a winner.

Are you sure you are not a full time professional photographer? You have talent.

As usual your images are beyond wonderful. Almost impossible to pick favorites as none deserve "less than" status. That said, I really love the little tyke in #9 !

While the photos were certainly not a disappointment, they were a surprise.

I opened this thread thinking the title was "Bullets In Air and Water" and
wondering how you managed such a high speed shot.

    Whatever gets you to post!!
Actually bullets were both in air and water....because Hunters were not that far away.......I actually complained that how can they have preserve on one side of the road and hunting on other...but it is.
    Thanks!

I have a Sigma 50-500 (Bigma). The Bigma was rated slightly and insignificantly sharper than the 100-400 L. Recently, I have migrated to Fuji which is not a very mature system. I love the Fuji IQ and the Fujinon lenses, but the system is anemic when compared to the variety of Canon and Nikkor lenses.
