Bumper yield of feathered ones

I risked life and limb yesterday after seeing this big guy in a storm water drain near work. Was wondering why he would be in such a filthy area until I goy down there and saw the the boom across the drain was holding in hundreds of tiny fish.



This white faced heron wasn't missing out on his share either



Also stopped at a shorebird roosting area on the way home and really found myself needing that long glass. The 200mm just doesn't cut it and I was chasing birds round and round trying to get a shot This Black winged stilt was as good as I could get.



I'll wait till tax time and get more glass I think :wink
