I risked life and limb yesterday after seeing this big guy in a storm water drain near work. Was wondering why he would be in such a filthy area until I goy down there and saw the the boom across the drain was holding in hundreds of tiny fish.

This white faced heron wasn't missing out on his share either :)

Also stopped at a shorebird roosting area on the way home and really found myself needing that long glass. The 200mm just doesn't cut it and I was chasing birds round and round trying to get a shot :( This Black winged stilt was as good as I could get.

I'll wait till tax time and get more glass I think :wink
