The petals of this flower were slightly curled inwards. Was it finishing or opening? To be safe, I took some shots. It did open later. Ideally, I would use a slightly lower magnifcation but that was not to evident during the shoot.

This was largely an exercise in seeing how two of my best pieces of glassware would perform together. I think there is potential for the combination.

EM-1, x 1.5 Kiron TC, extension, Printing Nikkor 105mm at f11, TTL flash, ISO 400, hand-held. FOV ca 2mm wide.

Very nice! Prefer second because the sharp focus part is drawing first attention.....in first one I had to find it....

Thanks. I was unsure if these were worth sharing but I think the use of the glassware and choice of subject will be of interest. Something to return to with e.g. more/different DOF, different angle of view (I tried several). I returned to the flowers on following days but, on that occasion, couldn't do any better. The plant is readily accessible in my garden.

Good captures- difficult subject at this magnification without focus stacking

    Thanks, Brian.

I was really just playing with the setup. I didn't know what I had captured until I reviewed the images. The flowers were , obligingly, at eye-level.

I am equipped for stacking but have never really got involved with it. I have not yet abandoned the technique and have lenses I have yet to use, including the JML.
