Freestyle Dance...art project.

This is my Freestyle Dance art project. I shoot a lot of dancers and try to get in and update the project gallery once a year or so. Anyway if you like dance please take a second and click over. Lots of good dancers in the gallery. Thanks for having a look .

But ... (the big but) ... I am disappointed that there wasn't more actual dance production/theatre/live performance stuff. Don't get me wrong, your stuff is wonderful, the setting are well thought out ... but the majority of the images show case the dancers not the dance.

My favs are the snow, fountain and silhouette.

I should probably take the couple of performance shots I do have in there out...not really the intent of the gallery.
I have thousands of performance photos.....I should probably put together a Freestyle Performance gallery as well.....never thought there would be much interest in those.

Very nice work! Your work has been a huge inspiration to me as I have begun venturing into the world of dance photography. Dance photography is a completely different animal and you do it extremely well.

Thanks Brian, yes a different animal, but worth it.

One think I notice as I get more into it is that your dance images will only be as good as the skill level of the dancers you are shooting. So as early as you can start networking with your local dance professionals. Good luck to you.
