On my computers, once you put in your password on a password protected folder or gallery, it automatics remembers that password. Even on a computer that I have setup to not remember that stuff, it still remembers. Once you put a password in, than you never have to put a password in again.
I want to have better protection than that. Do I have a setting wrong in Smugmug??
I have a folder that I want you to type in a password every time you leave that folder and want to go back in that folder. Is that possible??
Its some sensitive images that I need to protect as much as I can. What can I do about this???

having to keep reentering the PW. You would have to delete the Smug cookies to reset if that
time/cookie has not expired.

That is what I was afraid of. Any way around that, Allen??? I need to protect these images as best as I can.

the same PW. The PW flowed down to each child in its tree but when browsing I had to enter the PW for
each tree. I finally added a new top folder and used that for the PW. Now only have to enter the PW once.
So only that top folder has a PW, nothing below.

If the browser is set to clear cookies on closing, the gallery/folder should ask for the password the next time you open the browser navigating to the gallery/folder.
The same should be the case if you don't check the "remember me" checkbox on the password prompt and then fully close the browser (as long as the browser isn't set to re-open previous opened tabs - if that's the case, you may have to close all browser tabs before closing the browser).
If the browser still pulls up the gallery, it may be set to save passwords or have a password manager installed that does that. If you don't want passwords the actual passwords saved, you could disable the feature in your browser / password manager.
