That's it - the sun has gone down on 2005!

The end of the last day of the year in this part of the world has been marked by a pleasant sunset as shown in the photo below. This shot was taken from the south coast of the North Island as the sun was descending behind the northern tip of the South Island, visible on the horizon.

    Happy New Year, WWW!

    We started New Year's Eve Day here in NY with a glorious sunrise. Spectacular, fiery, orange, red, yellow. Big clouds. Big sky. A sign of great things to come, it is.

    I went up on top of my roof, and watched it at 7am this morning. I left the camera inside, the memory will last way longer than any file on my computer.

    Beautiful picture!

    Here in Northern California, the day is just beginning. And it is raining
    pretty hard. Cities North of San Francisco are reporting standing water
    on the roads and for the most part, law enforcement are telling people to
    stay home.
