Tried to create abstracts by zooming in, while shooting landscapes. Thanks Richard for one of the edits!:thumb

All criticism, helpful pointers, and kind comments heartily cherished!

Great timing on the last three, the amount of shadow is just enough to make the images 3-D, without creating really harsh edges.

    Thanks JC! Can't fool you!:D
I was moving around and sun came out to take a peak for last few shots....in other hill shots, I was extracting light by over exposing as the sky was pretty heavy!

Yeah, light is funny, the first group actually look more abstract to me, because the lack of shadows removes some of the topography info, and you are just left with the mudstone colors.

Great stuff, Taz. #s 5, 6, and 7 just blow me away. Geeeze....I wonder what would happen if I threw some of my RUST JUNKIE elixir at a couple of these shots.

You're sitting at the head table with the best of the landscape bunch and you deserve to be there,

    Take care, buddy,

    Tom
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I can visualize #6 and #7 hanging in an art studio.

Question - are these composite images? I ask because I am researching that now.

Thanks Phil!! No composite, just zoom lens to get close and nice directional light. When you finish your research, share!:D

WOWSER, this is a really interesting and stunning series, so much for the eye
to see and try to take in. Love all the Colors, shades, and forms.

Very nicely done, I agree, I think this is some of your best work.
    Take care,
